October 5-7, 2009
Well into our second year of full operations, the Center for Nanoscale Materials (CNM) has developed a robust and active user community. In addition to serving the Argonne National Laboratory community of some 2,000 researchers, we also engage hundreds of scientists every year from academia, industry, and other government agencies from within the U.S. and around the world.
The CNM User Meeting will include a plenary session, technical focus sessions, exhibits, a poster session, a banquet, tours, and short courses. The vendor exhibits are planned for Monday & Tuesday, October 5th and 6th. A unique series of Short Courses will be held on Wed., October 7th that are excellent venues for hands-on learning of the world-class facilities available at the CNM.
The Dept. of Energy national laboratory system is in an extremely exciting phase with an infusion of funds from ARRA stimulus funding, and science at our facilities is thriving at this time. Please check the CNM homepage for descriptions of the staff science and also snapshots of the many user-based research endeavors. All past, current, and potential users of the CNM are welcome to attend this unique event.
